The FOFIF Presents: Three Films, Five Cities
The Future of Film Is Female (FOFIF) advances gender parity in the film industry by amplifying the work of all women and nonbinary filmmakers through its Short Film Fund, curated screenings, and distribution.
Too many independent films are slipping through the cracks and aren’t receiving the theatrical experience they deserve. To further realize FOFIF’s mission, this series presents a collaborative, multi-city screening curatorial project that introduces recent indie films directed by rising women and nonbinary filmmakers to audiences.
Besides Cleveland, the series will play in Los Angeles, New York, Portland, and Houston. The Cinematheque has previously screened earlier FOFIF releases, “The Graduates” by Hannah Peterson (2024), and “Sunfish (& Other Stories on Green Lake)” by Sierra Falconer (2025).
