At the annual Congreso in Los Angeles, a group of Latine clowns comes together to teach 150+ attendees the complex & joyful art of clowning. Their vibrant optimism is powerfully juxtaposed with their stories of resilience and sacrifice having immigrated to the U.S.— demonstrating how the arts, community & chosen family can forge a path to healing.

Join directors Jacob Koestler and Michael McDermit for a special evening featuring 30 minutes of preview excerpts from their work-in-progress documentary. The filmmakers will share select scenes and host a post-presentation conversation about the film’s making, while also welcoming feedback from attendees.

Latin Clowns Evolution is supported by the Satellite Fund, administered by SPACES and funded by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts Regional Regranting Program.
