In a delicious send up of Spanish notions of masculinity, sex, and death, Diego Montes, a retired bullfighter in love with death is on a collision course with María Cardenal, a lawyer who murders men during sex. The catalyst for their meeting is Ángel, Diego’s student, a bullfighter in training who faints at the sight of blood. He becomes María’s client after confessing to murders he did not commit in order to prove his masculinity.
