Director Virgilio Villoresi’s expressionistic adaptation of the classic Greek tragedy of Orpheus and Eurydice’s journey to the underworld is adapted from Dino Buzzati’s 1969 Poema a fumetti, Italy’s first graphic novel. This modern reimagining has an aesthetic untethered from reality as it blends multiple styles of animation and live action to create a bold and colorful one-of-a-kind film. “A little gem full of passion for film and storytelling in general.” – Leandro Ariel Porcelli, Cinéfilo Serial.
