Lee Chang-dong’s latest feature won the Silver Lion at the 2026 Venice Film Festival. A laid-off worker and his wife cross paths with a documentary filmmaker who decides to make them the subject of her film. As their relationship develops, is it true friendship or is it merely transactional. Chang-dong’s builds tension and drama as more is revealed about the lives of both couples.   “As richly drawn and intricately crafted as any feature this year, and a surefire contender for best of 2026 honors.” – Nick Schager, Daily Beast.
