With Oscar®-winning production design by Adam Stockhausen, The Grand Budapest Hotel is one of director Wes Anderson’s most visually arresting and fully realized films. Ralph Fiennes stars as the legendary concierge at a famous European hotel who takes a young protégé under his wing. The fast-paced comedy involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting, the battle for an enormous family fortune and the slow and then sudden upheavals that transformed Europe during the first half of the 20th century. “It is beautifully designed, visually ravishing and symmetrical to the nth degree. And it is full of frantic chaos, with a Lord of Misrule at its center played with effortless comic brilliance by Ralph Fiennes.” – Philip Hawker, The Age.
