Deathly ill Count Dracula (Udo Kier) and his slimy underling Anton, travel to Italy in search of a virgin’s blood. They’re welcomed at the crumbling estate of indebted Marchese Di Fiore (Vittorio De Sica), who’s desperate to marry off his daughters to rich suitors. But instead of pure women, the count encounters incestuous lesbians with vile blood and Marxist manservant Mario (Joe D’Allesandro), who’s suspicious of the aristocratic Dracula. Immediately after completing Flesh for Frankenstein, filmmaker Paul Morrissey created one of the most unique and outrageous vampire films in history. Preceded by Jan Soldat’s short film Staging Death (Germany/Austria, 2022), featuring all of Udo Kier’s death scenes.
