Larry Clark Retrospective

Larry Clark is a filmmaker, artist, and educator from Cleveland, Ohio, best known for directing Passing Through, a landmark work of the L.A. Rebellion movement. After studying at UCLA, he emerged as part of a generation of Black independent filmmakers committed to new representations of African American life and culture on screen. The Cinematheque at the Cleveland Institute of Art is excited to welcome Mr. Clark to the Peter B. Lewis Theater on September 19^th as part of Ohio Goes to the Movies as we offer free screenings of 3 of his films: As Above, So Below (1973), Cutting Horse (2002), & Passing Through (1977). There will be a live Q&A with Mr. Clark following the screening of Passing Through.
