Takumi and his daughter Hana live in Mizubiki Village, close to Tokyo. One day, the village inhabitants become aware of a plan to build a camping site near Takumi’s house offering city residents a comfortable “escape” to nature.

As part of the Ohio Center for the Book at Cleveland Public Library’s celebration of National Poetry Month, contributors to Light Enters the Grove (Kent State University Press, 2024), a poetry anthology that explores the “biodiversity and staggering beauty of Cuyahoga Valley National Park,” and the “rich relationship between artists and the natural world,” will introduce Evil Does Not Exist. This special screening follows a book giveaway, reading and conversation about nature and poetry beginning at 4 PM at Cleveland Public Library’s Main Library (325 Superior Ave.)
