Render Me Softly and Porosa Animación (Bogota, Colombia) present Trátame Suavemente, a screening of experimental animation in Latin America. A fuzzy contour that delineates the body from the rest of the world, the tenderness of matter held in open palms, the haze of soft pastel on paper. Featuring handmade and digitally rendered films, these works blur the boundaries of animation. Presenting filmmakers from Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and Chile.

This screening is part of Render Me Softly, a pop-up animation festival in Cleveland, OH. Organized by Laura Camila Medina and supported through SPACES’s Satellite Fund, the festival highlights themes of tenderness, transformation, and becoming through screenings, workshops, and dialogue.

Render Me Softly y Porosa Animación (Bogotá, Colombia) presentan Trátame Suavemente, una proyección de animación experimental en Latinoamérica. Un contorno difuso que delinea el cuerpo del resto del mundo, la ternura de la materia sostenida en palmas abiertas, la neblina del pastel blando sobre el papel. Con películas hechas a mano y renderizadas digitalmente, estas obras difuminan los límites de la animación. Presentamos cineastas de Brasil, Colombia, México y Chile.
